Teachers and School Leaders have the RIGHT to be treated with Dignity & Respect and the Right to a safe workplace.

Participating in this workshop will allow you to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills to address bullying in schools and establish a culture of dignity and respect.

Key workshop content:

• Conflict In the Workplace
• What is workplace bullying? What isn’t workplace bullying?
• The players: The Bully – The Victim – The Bystanders – The Managers.
• Everyone’s has legal rights and responsibilities in the workplace
• The Law and Policies: OSH Worksafe WA, Public Sector Management Act and Department of Education Policy ( DOE Bullying Policy Updated )
• Managing a bullying complaint: processes, roles and responsibilities: OSH/DoE/Grievance/Police
• Preventative actions that work and ensure Dignity and Respect for all.

This workshop will assist Union Reps, Women Contact Officers, OSH Reps & School Leaders to better understand the rights and responsibilities of all parties and therefore ensure effective team management to address bullying and promote a safe school.
