Government House Ballroom exudes the ambience of a ballroom typically reserved only for Hollywood. Guests will commence their evening with a grand entrance through the spectacular Lady Kyle Gardens and into the foyer, where attentive and professional wait staff will be ready and waiting to please. Guests will enjoy canapés and drinks while being serenaded by the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra’s quartet. Attendees will make their way into the ballroom, where they will be seated amongst friends, colleagues and a few VIPs. The five-star quality, three course meal will then commence.
The event will take on a new feel after dinner is served as WAYJO’s big band orchestra takes the stage. Professional dancers will enter the arena and perform amid the state’s best jazz artists, then invite guests to dance amongst them. Music and dancing will continue late into the night, along with specialty wines and beers, fine teas and coffees.
The Timor-Leste Benefit is an ongoing support program organised by the SSTUWA and Rotary International. Teachers and principals in WA schools have been working with the SSTUWA to recycle their classroom items, sending the necessities to schools in East Timor. In communities where children once sat on dishevelled and destroyed concrete while attempting to learn, they now sit at desks, look at chalkboards, and use computers, thanks to the generous support of those in WA schools.
You’re cordially invited to be part of this memorable evening.
