ASSERTIVENESS FOR WOMEN (TUT)

Do you say “Yes”, when you want to say “No”? This course is designed to develop the skills and confidence of women members enabling them to effectively implement assertiveness skills in a range of school based situations and in doing so enhance the Proactive leadership role within the workplace.

BULLYING & VIOLENCE IN SCHOOL (TUT)
Participating in this workshop will allow you to develop your knowledge and understanding of bullying in schools, as you explore the revised DoE Bullying Policy.

DEALING WITH DIFFICULT PEOPLE (TUT)
How do effective school and union leaders respond, manage and sustain positive working relationships in the workplace?

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT (TUT)
By the end of this course participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the formal policy requirements of the process for both the employee and the employer at the workplace.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the legal requirements of the performance management policy and procedures from the EBA and Public Sector Act.
  • Be confident to provide members advice and advocacy when dealing with performance management disputes.

  • How can members best support and advocate for their rights?
  • How can members best respond, manage and prevent violence at school?
