Journey Accident Cover
Provided free of charge to SSTUWA members
Your SSTUWA membership provides you with Journey Accident Cover Insurance. This covers you for injuries resulting from accidents that occur while commuting directly between home and work.
Do you need to utilise this service?
- Always seek medical attention first, if necessary. Obtain a medical certificate.

- Claim proceedings will be initiated on your behalf.
- Notify your employer of a possible Workers' Compensation claim.
- If another vehicle is involved immediately lodge a claim with the Insurance Council of Western Australia - (compulsory third party bodily injury insurer.)
If you have an accident whilst travelling to or from work, it is very important that you notify the union immediately, irrespective of the levels of accrued sick leave that you may have.
