Group Insurance Services

We are licensed to provide advice for members of the SSTUWA and their families on Life Insurance, Trauma Insurance and Income Protection Insurance, with a choice of products from a wide range of Insurance Companies. Group Insurance Services are the Administrators of the SSTUWA Journey Cover.  Journey Cover is provided free of charge to all financial members.

Life Insurance

Life cover offers you peace of mind that your family's interests will be protected if you die or are diagnosed with a terminal illness. Life cover is paid either as a lump sum or instalments.  It may be helpful to clear the mortgage and other debts, provide for the children's education and cover living expenses.

Income Protection Insurance
Your ability to earn an income is your greatest asset.  Jut like your house and contents, you should consider insuring this asset against the event of illness or injury.

Benefits

  • You can cover up to 75% of your salary or salary package.
  • The Benefit is payable at the end of a Waiting Period (ie 14 days, 30 days, etc).
  • The Benefit is payable until you return to work, or your Maximum Benefit Period (ie 2 years, 5 years or to age 65) has expired.
  • the cover is guaranteed yearly renewable and cannot be altered, or amended by the Insurer.
  • Under current Legislation, premium payments are tax deductible.

Trauma Insurance

Trauma cover allows you to be prepared for the financial impact of a trauma.  If you suffer a specified trauma condition, the trauma cover policy will pay the amount insured as a lump sum or instalments. This may assist with medical costs, extra care and the day to day expenses that quickly accumulate.  It may also clear debts so that you can focus on a full recovery at your own pace.

Trauma cover allows you to be prepared for the financial impact of a trauma. Trauma conditions covered vary from policy to policy, but some examples are as follows.

Blindness  -  Cancer  -  Heart Attack  -  Paralysis  -  Stroke  -  Multiple Sclerosis  -  Parkinson's Disease.
