The TAFE Committee considered a Summary of Initiatives + 11% salary over three years received from the Department on the 29 November 2011 and recommended it for acceptance.
This position was tabled to Executive on the 2nd December 2011.
Congratulations to the negotiating team, TAFE Committee and all members who have supported the campaign activities.
The Union has now proceeded on behalf of TAFE members to establish an ‘in-principle agreement’ with the Department and industrial action has been lifted.
Members will be provided with an opportunity to vote on this proposal early in the New Year.
The employer has indicated that salary increases will be from the pay period of 8 December 2011.
For further details see the attached documents.
