About the course
The SSTUWA, in partnership with TLN in Melbourne, are pleased to offer this online learning opportunity.
This is a short and sharp (30 minute) introduction to the condition of ASD or Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this course an experienced teacher and leader responds to key questions that teachers and education staff have about students with ASD. You can choose to watch a single part of the course; if you choose to engage with all elements of the course then at the conclusion you should have an understanding of the basic elements of ASD as experienced by a student. The course does not cover teaching strategies for students with ASD, those ideas can be found in other courses being delivered by the Teacher Learning Network or your union. This course can be considered as a prerequisite for courses on teaching strategies for students with ASD.
Delivery method: 30 min online on-demand event
The event will be 30 minutes in duration and consist of an on-demand delivery of content by a presenter and a host. Completing this course will contribute to 30 minutes of professional learning and a certificate will be emailed a short time after completion.
