About the course

This session will support new leaders in their approach to counselling students effectively.  Leaders are faced with complex decision-making processes that have a significant impact on students's lives; it is important that leaders learn basic skills and techniques to use when having difficult or challenging conversations with students.  The presenter will focus on practical skills for leaders who are not trained counsellors.

Leaders who choose this session should also consider enrolling in Difficult Conversations with Parents and Difficult Conversations with Colleagues.  These additional events are offered on the same day.

Delivery method: Live online event

The event will be one hour and a half  in duration and consist of live delivery of content at the specified time by a presenter and a host. You will also have an opportunity to interact with other participants and engage with the presenter online. Completing this course will contribute to one hour of professional learning and a certificate will be provided at the end of the session.
