About the course

The SSTUWA, in partnership with TLN in Melbourne, are pleased to offer this online learning opportunity.

Positive psychology, or its derivative, positive education, is increasingly being used across the education community. Given the impact of the COVID pandemic on schools, the techniques and resources promoted in positive education can be an important addition to a teacher's toolkit of strategies to support students' social and emotional development in 2021.

This session is designed as an introduction to positive education which will include ideas such as mindfulness, gratitude, forgiveness, character strengths and ‘flourish and learn’. Positive education works best as a school wide philosophy however individual teachers can also make a significant difference in their own classrooms by using strategies and techniques of positive education.

Delivery method: Live online event

The event will be one hour in duration and consist of live delivery of content at the specified time by a presenter and a host.

You will also have an opportunity to interact with other participants and engage with the presenter online.

Completing this course will contribute to one hour of professional learning and a certificate will be provided at the end of the session.
