The objects of this Union shall be:

(a) To watch over and protect the interests of its members.
(b) Promotion of education.
(c) To endeavour to ensure that the Education Act and its Regulations are equitably applied and interpreted for the benefit of all members.
(d) To monitor the administration and working of other Acts of Parliament connected with education in order to safeguard the interests of members.
(e) Preference to Unionists.
(f) To manage and maintain a Union Library.
(g) To provide a provident, benefit or superannuation fund, established for the benefit of employees of the Union.
(h) To support, establish, or aid in the establishment of any corporate entity (limited or unlimited), association or organisation of whatever description, for the purpose of providing benefits for or promoting the interests of the members of the Union and for any of the purposes provided for in this rule.
(i) To provide or raise by loan or otherwise upon mortgage or other security all such moneys as may be necessary to provide and maintain Union Premises and to carry into effect any of the Objects stated in this Constitution.
(j) To purchase, take on lease, hold, sell, lease, mortgage, exchange, or otherwise own, possess or deal with any real or personal property.
