About The Programme

Participants will:

  • Establish and review the performance management rights and responsibilities members.
  • Equip union reps and branch officers with proactive and collective performance management methods and models.
  • Provide union reps with the knowledge and skills required to manage and advise members’ on performance management disputes.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course participants will be able to:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the formal policy requirements of the process for both the employee and the employer at the workplace.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the legal requirements of the performance management policy and procedures from the EBA and Public Sector Management Act.
  • Confidently provide members and school leaders’ advice and advocacy when dealing with performance management issues and disputes.

  • Metro & Country Elected SSTUWA Union Representatives
  • Branch Officers
  • SSTUWA Women’s Contact Officers

who completed the Union Representative Level 1 training in 2010/2011.

Cost: This is a NO COST course for Union Members

Travel: NIL Travel & Accommodation funded by SSTWA for Country Members
