Invaluable ETC Level 3 CT & OSH Courses

osh-drawingLevel 3 Classroom Teacher Stage 2 workshops commenced this week. The ETC is working with Professional Development Unit to provide quality training that prepares teachers for the presentation required in stage 2.

This year the union has a record five courses  occurring over the week.

Member feedback points to the high level information and the quality presentation from the  PDT presenters Faye Harris and Bill Reid.

It’s especially great to have members coming from down south and up north – where principals as working to ensure teachers have the best opportunity.

Comments from participants indicate the most valuable aspects of the training:

  • Clarification of the reflective practice expectations
  • Practicing the oral presentation
  • Giving and receiving feedback
  • Re-phasing focus questions

Members interested in Level 3 Classroom Teacher Stage 1 – Term 4 Workshops are now open for registration.....be early to avoid disappointment.

No WorkChoices WA

Troy Buswell and the State Government have appointed a former Howard Government industrial relations advocate to review Western Australian workplace laws and will soon announce changes that could affect up to 300,000 Western Australian workers' jobs and livelihoods.

For Our Future

Public schools are a foundation stone of our society. They are places of learning, of inspiration and opportunity where every Australian child can get the education they deserve.  It's the key to a strong economy, a skilled workforce and a socially cohesive society.

Save Our Schools

Public education should be free and open to all to ensure non-selective and non-discriminatory access to a high quality education. Every child has a right to be educated; to develop as a human being. This basic capability should not be denied to anyone, either by design, apathy or neglect.
