Negotiations this week became heated when your negotiators stated that TAFE lecturers would not in any shape or form agree to increase lecturing hours. The Employers agreed to take the issue off the table for the time being.
Your negotiators argued that as Colleges were placing huge pressure on our members to complete the Cert IV TAE it would be appropriate for the employers to recognise this as a productivity improvement.
As a result of your feedback at the TAFE Mass Meeting and the teleconference meetings with country members, Ramona and Pat Burke have working non stop on the next stage of our campaign.
A strategy has been developed and exciting resources are being prepared. More information next week.
