Register now! Perth Work Safe 2011 Forum registrations now open.
The Perth WorkSafe Forum will be held at Burswood Convention Centre on Monday 17th October 2011.
Safety and health representatives, managers and supervisors, safety professionals and officers from all industries and interested members of the community are encouraged to attend the annual forums.
To register complete either the interactive registration form or the brochure for each delegate and return by Friday 7 October 2011
The program includes speakers with a wide range of experience and varied backgrounds, including:
- Margot Halbert, Chief Executive Officer, Positive Persuasion. Margot is a communications expert and will deliver a session ‘Tools for talking – stepping up the safety conversation’. Margot will work closely with delegates to inspire, encourage and ignite their confidence in the way that they communicate and influence to achieve better safety outcomes.
- Isobel Boylan, Director, BSS Corporate Psychology Services will discuss management of fatigue in workplaces. Isobel will discuss both how to identify and reduce the risk of fatigue in your workplace and how to get a good nights sleep for all of those who regularly toss and turn at night.
- Stan Sexton MA CMIOSH FSI(W)A CSPA, Corporate Manager Safety, Public Transport Authority. Stan will give an insight into achieving a a positive safety and provide information for delegates for use in their workplace.
- Mat Bowen, Western Region Project Director, Sentis. Mat will look at managing the balance between safety and productivity more effectively by looking at how our brains work, and the techniques available for leaders to ensure people are better able to achieve positive outcomes in both areas.
- Jenny Carter, BSc. (Human Movement) Dip Ed, Health Promotions Manager, HBF. Jenny will talk about the evolution of wellness workplaces, what leads to successful programs and how can we engage employees and management to improve company safety and health.
- Dr Barry Chesson, Senior Occupational Hygienist, Chevron Australia Pty Ltd and
- Lauren Zappa, Sunsmart Workplace Coordinator, Cancer Council Western Australia. Barry and Lauren will cover recognition, evaluation and control of heat stress and sun related skin damage in a variety of workplaces.
