The State School Teachers’ Union WA (SSTUWA) continues to provide Early Childhood Educators with opportunities to develop effective industrial and professional practice, understandings and knowledge. This forum will address the importance of an intentional play- based approach in ECE and unravel what it means for informed educators to observe children in play to promote and extend every child’s wellbeing and learning.
Early Childhood Educators are invited to join Niki Buchan to explore and reflect on the demands of curriculum and pedagogy decision making.
Points of focus will include:
The SSTUWA welcomes Niki to this event. Niki is a co- founder of Natural Learning Early Childhood Consultancy which was established in 2015. Niki has more than 30 years’ experience working with children from birth to eight years of age. She is based in Melbourne and works internationally as a conference keynote speaker, nature pedagogue, nature kindergarten facilitator, naturalistic playground advisor, mentor and author.
