This conference is dedicated to supporting primary and secondary teachers in their first five years. You might be teaching full-time in a school, a graduate who is working as a relief teacher or even still searching for a teaching position. The day will provide each new educator with a valuable opportunity to increase their knowledge, skills and confidence across a range of professional, personal, industrial and financial topics.
The research of John Hattie reveals that teachers are the most powerful influencers on learning. Inspirational teachers need to be directive, influential, caring and actively engaged in the passion of teaching and learning. Our keynote speaker, David Koutsoukis, will examine the key characteristics of inspirational teachers and reveal the vital things you need to think, say and do to in order to motivate and inspire your students - and remain inspired yourself.
David Koutsoukis, Exceptional Teams Academy
Common characteristics of successful teachers include a passion for teaching and a great connection with students - but what does it really take to become an exceptional educator? How do we get this passion and connection and maintain the energy and enthusiasm we need week after week, year after year.
You will be invited to choose from a suite of practical breakout workshops on offer presented by a range of outstanding educators.

We wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. We wish to pay respect to their Elders - past, present and future - and acknowledge the important role all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within Australia. We stand in solidarity.
