Schools’ members have voted
to accept the offer from the Department of Education for a replacement General
Agreement. Of the members voting, 87 per cent supported the proposed agreement.
The SSTUWA has therefore formally accepted the
Agreement-in-Principle and an application to register a replacement agreement
has been lodged with the WAIRC.
Once this agreement is registered, the $1000 per annum salary
increase (pro rata for relief and casuals) will be paid, backdated to 6
December 2017.
We wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. We wish to pay respect to their Elders - past, present and future - and acknowledge the important role all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within Australia. We stand in solidarity.
