The SSTUWA continues to provide Early Childhood Educators with opportunities to develop effective industrial and professional practice, understandings and knowledge. This forum has a focus on engaging with, and making effective use of the National Quality Standard in WA (NQS).
This term SSTUWA welcomes Dr Rosemary Cahill: Director, Office of Early Childhood Development and Learning-Department of Education, WA.
Members are invited to join Dr Cahill as she explores:
Following Dr. Cahill’s keynote, participants will be invited to participate in one of two workshops. Workshops are designed to cater for ECE educators new to NQS, as well as those experienced with NQS documents, information and processes.
Workshop facilitators will be from The Office of Early Childhood Development and Learning (OECDL), Department of Education WA.
Workshop selection will be requested prior to the event.

Members in schools and TAFE colleges are eligible for five days of paid leave per year to attend trade union training (TUT).
To comply with TUT leave requirements applicants must:Submit applications to DoE/principal four weeks prior to the event.
This leave provision covers teacher relief for members attending SSTUWA TUT courses.
