There have been significant changes in applying for teaching positions in the Department of Education. This half day course is designed to provide participants with an awareness of current job application techniques.
Participants will gain an understanding of the current requirements for demonstrating competitiveness when applying to specific schools via a covering letter and curriculum vitae (CV)/resume.
Participants will explore the importance of reflecting individual school context when demonstrating their skills and experience in relation to the three Domains of Teaching: Professional Knowledge, Professional Practice and Professional Engagement.
The techniques and skills from this workshop can be applied to both non-IPS and IPS job applications.
Please note this course is not applicable to teachers applying for Level 3 Classroom Teacher.
On completion of the workshop participants will have:
$ 75 : Members: Part Time/Relief/Student
$ 150 : Members: Full Time
$ 250 : Non-Members
Morning tea provided.
