The SSTUWA Women's Conference is an opportunity for members who identify as female within our union to come together. The focus for this conference is based on the United Nations International Women's Day theme, March Forward. This theme emphasises the need for action to unlock equal rights, power, and opportunities for all women and girls. It also marks 30 years since the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, highlighting the ongoing journey towards gender equality.

Join us to meet and hear about Noor Azizah’s inspiring journey. Noor is a Rohingya refugee, and a woman whose resilience and determination have turned unimaginable hardship into powerful activism. Noor Azizah is the co-founder and director of the Rohingya Maìyafuìnor Collaborative Network, which is a women-led, Rohingya-led, and refugee-led organisation working on Rohingya human rights issues, with a focus on women, peace, and security.
Bo Youn Kim - Clinical Pharmacist, Founder of EmpowHer Menopause Clinic
The informative session will include the diverse perimenopause and menopause symptoms evidence-based treatment options. Debunk the myths and misunderstandings of hormone replacement therapy. Bo will present a holistic approach to learning how to navigate the midlife healthier and happier and to thrive beyond menopause.

Dr Carmen Lawrence AO - Former WA Premier and Treasurer, Minister for Education and Aboriginal Affairs, former Federal Minister for Health and Human Services, professor emerita at UWA.
We are honoured to have our first WA woman Premier and Treasurer to outline how far we have travelled since the Beijing Declaration. Dr Lawrence will recall our major milestones and outline what work we still need to do together for gender equality.
