The SSTUWA is pleased to offer this series of LIVE online learning opportunities for all interested members and elected delegates around the 2023 New Agreement. This series will provide updates along the journey of the new agreement being finalised, including exploring Executive directives in relation to EBA negotiations as required. Once the agreement is endorsed the sessions will explore important new clauses that impact members the most.
All events will be 45 mins in duration and consist of live delivery of content at a specified time by SSTUWA officers via ZOOM. You will have the opportunity to interact with other participants from across the state and engage with SSTUWA presenters online. There will be time for Q&A and often a SSTUWA Senior Officer will join the sessions to address concerns.
As an Agreement in Principle with the Department of Education was not reached by 25 January 2024, the SSTUWA Executive authorises SSTUWA members to implement a range of stage one industrial actions from the commencement of Term 1.
The New GA 2023 Series - Session One: Implementing the Current Directives will provide participants with updated, on point information about the industrial actions in place. This will include implications for member and non-memvbers in schools. Union Officers will unpack each directive, respond to queries and ensure members are fully informed and able to share the current information at their branch.
Make sure you are fully informed about how to act now for better pay and conditions and reignite solidarity and build your branch at the workplace.

We wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. We wish to pay respect to their Elders - past, present and future - and acknowledge the important role all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within Australia. We stand in solidarity.
