The SSTUWA is pleased to offer this series of LIVE online learning opportunities for all interested members and elected delegates around the Schools 2023 General Agreement. A series of events have been scheduled for 2026 to allow members to unpack specific clauses that impact them the most.
All events will be 45 mins in duration and consist of live delivery of content at a specified time by SSTUWA officers online. You will have the opportunity to interact with other participants from across the state and engage with SSTUWA presenters online. There will be time for Q&A and often a SSTUWA Senior Officer will join the session.
What does the law say about consultation in schools?
Be guided to unpack the concepts of consultation in the decision making process; and engage with real-life scenarios to identify where and how the General Agreement mandates consultation. Members will leave the session with a roadmap on how to initiate and activate consultative processes collectively, through the branch.

We wish to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and work. We wish to pay respect to their Elders - past, present and future - and acknowledge the important role all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within Australia. We stand in solidarity.
