About the course
The SSTUWA, in partnership with TLN in Melbourne, are pleased to offer this online learning opportunity.
Teachers should be constantly engaged in adjusting their teaching to create meaningful and engaging learning experiences for all students. This is frequently described as the need to 'differentiate teaching'. In this session the presenter will identify the three areas within a teacher's control where differentiation can be introduced - curriculum planning, your approach to classroom instruction (or teaching strategies) and the assessment tasks that you ask students to complete. Tomlinson describes this as Content, Process and Product. All differentiation begins with evidence of student understanding and then recognising the opportunities to differentiate as they arise in the lesson - sometimes referred to as the Gradual Release of Responsibility approach to designing learning experiences.
Delivery method: Live online event
The event will be one hour in duration via ZOOM and consist of live delivery of content at the specified time by a presenter and a host. You will also have an opportunity to interact with other participants and engage with the presenter online. Completing this course will contribute to one hour of professional learning and a certificate will be provided at the end of
the session.
