About the course

The SSTUWA, in partnership with TLN in Melbourne, are pleased to offer this online learning opportunity for new or aspiring leaders.

This session will support new leaders in their approach to working effectively with parents. As leaders in schools we are often called to respond to difficult and challenging situations with parents and members of the community.  This session will outline the social and emotional competencies needed to manage difficult conversations with parents and will explore proactive strategies to create a positive climate for parents. The presenter will focus on practical skills to manage these difficult conversations.

Leaders who choose this session should also consider enrolling in Difficult Conversations with Colleagues and Difficult Conversations with Students.  These additional events are offered on the same day.

Delivery method: Live online event

The event will be one hour and a half in duration and consist of live delivery of content at the specified time by a presenter and a host. You will also have an opportunity to interact with other participants and engage with the presenter online. Completing this course will contribute to one hour and a half of professional learning and a certificate will be provided at the end of the session.
